German BASF IRGAFOS 168 High temperature resistant and anti-yellowing Ciba antioxidant 168

BASF 168 is a phosphite processing stabilizer. It is widely used as a complex stabilizer and antioxidant with no color stain or discoloration. As an auxiliary antioxidant, it is often used in combination with phenolic antioxidants and has synergistic effects. During the processing of plastics, IRGAFOS168 can react with peroxides produced by polymer auto-oxidation to prevent polymer degradation caused by processing and extend the antioxidant performance of the main antioxidant. IRGAFOS168 is characterized by strong compatibility with many polymers or matrices, so it has a wide range of applications.

IRGAFOS 168 can be used in polyolefins, monopolymers and copolymers, elastomers, adhesives, engineering plastics (such as polyester, polyurethane, PVC) and plasticizers, industrial fats, mineral oils and other organic matrices.

Reacts polymer degradation caused by processing and prolongs the antioxidant properties of the primary antioxidant. IRGAFOS 168 is characterized by its high compatibility with many polymers or matrices, allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications.

Irgafos168 antioxidant protects polymers exposed to oxidative environments from changes in molecular weight (such as chain breakage and cross-linking) during processing (mixing, granulation, molding, recycling applications) and Discoloration of the matrix.

IRGAFOS 168 has a good effect when used in combination with phenolic antioxidants. These compounds can also be used with other complex stabilizers (e.g. lactones) and light stabilizers (UV absorbers, hindered ammonia).

Applied in polyolefins, monopolymers and copolymers, elastomers, adhesives, engineering plastics (such as polyester, polyurethane, PVC) and plasticizers, industrial fats, mineral oils and other organic matrices. When IRGAFOS 168 and other appropriate additives are used as processing stabilizers for polymers, the recommended dosage is 0.05% and 1%.
